The Chosen Photograph

The image is ‘Window Lust’

I have chosen this photographer because it’s links to my question (windows). Photo composition is the arrangement of the subject of the photo, in contrast to it’s surrounding, and point of view. Lighting, centring and artistic balance also come into play to lead to the subject to give the illusion the window is floating. He uses high contrast, the background is pale and the person is brighter. He wants people to get attention of the person and the window. It’s feels magical and it’s pose photography. The background is important because he wants to make contrast between the original place and magical act.

Rob Woodcox explores textures, volumes and shapes found in nature, in the cities. In this picture, there are simple dark colours in the background because he don’t want the audience to get attention from the background, he just want the audience get attention of person.

The lighting he uses non-flash because he uses the person in outside so it’s day time; already bright.  The mood is that it’s feeling strange to see this photograph.
